WHAT IS MURPH COMP?
Dedicated to "Murph Dog" Christopher Brian Murphy.

Born October 9, 1984 in Appleton, Wisconsin, he was the son of Timothy and Debra Murphy. Chris graduated from Menasha High School and earned his degree in welding a few years later. He loved anything that took him to the outdoors including fishing and hunting.
Chris was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time with his many pets over the years. He was a good friend and a pleasure to be around, always caring about the happiness of others.
Over the years, the competition has provided us with the opportunity to share stories about Chris and the profound impact he had on numerous lives. Chris played a significant role in the construction of the Menasha Skatepark, and we are eagerly committed to preserving his legacy for the benefit of future generations.

CELEBRATING EIGHt YEARS
Last year, thanks to the generosity of all who contributed to our event, we presented Mayor Donald Merkes of Menasha and the Menasha Parks and Recreation Department with a check totaling $6,290.
We express our gratitude for your ongoing support. Your generosity enables us to further Chris's mission of preserving the Menasha Skate Park for future generations.
With your help, we've been able to level up the skatepark at Hart Park. Teaming up with the City of Menasha, we dropped in a fresh new sunshade, making sure we stay cool when we're tearing it up on those scorching summer sessions.

2025 LOCAL LIVE MUSIC
We know how much everyone enjoyed the live music at past Murph Comp events. However, we’ve decided to take things in a new direction for 2025, and there will not be live music at this year’s event.
We encourage you to like and follow us on social media and keep an eye on our website for updates throughout the summer.
We’re currently working with local bands to launch an annual fall fundraiser concert that will support the Chris Murphy Memorial Fund and help us expand our community outreach beyond Murph Comp.
